Josiah L. Go

Josiah Go is the Chairman of Mansmith and Fielders, Inc. (the leading marketing and sales training company in the Philippines), President and CEO of Waters Philippines (the market leader in the direct selling of premium health durable products in the Philippines) and President and CEO of PT Noah Health Indonesia. He is Chairman / Vice Chairman / Director of over a dozen companies.

Known as one of the Philippines’ most respected marketing gurus, he is the most awarded business educator of the Philippines having been recognized as one of the Agora Awardees in 1994,one of theTen Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines in 2001, one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) of the World in 2002 (the 1st and only Filipino in Business Education given by World Jaycees by far), and one of only two Lifetime Achievement Awardees by the Association of Marketing Educators (2007), the youngest marketing educator to be bestowed this honor. He was also given the Brand Leadership Award during the World Brand Congress in India (2009). His accomplishments was recognized by the international community where he has been included in the 10th edition of the International Who’s Who of Intellectuals (England).

He is also the first Filipino to have completed the Blue Ocean Strategy qualification process in Insead, France and is the first in Southeast Asia to have taught this as a 3-unit, full semester course in a university.  His current interests include Market-Driving Strategies, Business Model Innovation, Profit Strategy and Innopreneurship.

A bestselling author with 13 marketing books, Josiah has taught at the De La Salle and Ateneo Universities as well. He is an Executive Scholar of the Kellogg Business School (in Marketing and Sales Management) as well as the MIT Sloan (in Strategy and Innovation). He also took advance marketing programs at Wharton and at the London Business School.  His industry affiliations include being National President of the Philippine Marketing Association (1991), Chairman of the Direct Selling Association of the Philippines (2002), National President of the Association of Marketing Educators (2004-2005). Most recently, he is founding President of White Space Club International. An entrepreneur and marketing practitioner, he continues to be involved in various advocacies aimed at youth empowerment and entrepreneurship namely, the Young Market Masters Awards (YMMA),Day 8 Business Academy, Young Social Entrepreneur Start-Up, Marketing Educators' Training, and the MarkProf Foundation.

Chiqui Escareal-Go

Chiqui Escareal-Go is the President and CEO of Mansmith and Fielders, Inc., an advocacy-based marketing, sales, innovation and strategy training and consultancy company. She heads the Mansmith Training Group which includes Corporate Achievers Institute, Sensei Business Academy and Day 8 Business Academy.

She is also Vice Chair of Waters Philippines, the market leader in the premium segment of home water purifiers, as well as the importer of the Noah ion cell cleanse.

She actively set up, organized or strongly supported various advocacies both for business and personal endeavors such as the Mansmith Young Market Masters Awards, and the Market Masters Conference, where 100% net proceeds go to charity in the areas of education and youth empowerment. She is a founding trustee of MarkProf Foundation, Inc., which is the search for and training of the Top 25 marketing management trainees of the Philippines and manages a P5 million Mansmith marketing scholarship grant for marketing professors (since 1997). She is also president of the Josiah and Carolina Go Foundation that provides various scholarships and assistance to less fortunate young Filipinos, and Women Center for Achievement, Research and Entrepreneurship (WomenCarePH) which is a recognition, training, and research advocacy focused on gender-related themes. Chiqui is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).

Chiqui is an Executive Scholar in Marketing and Sales of Kellogg Business School, Northwestern University. She also took advance marketing programs at the Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School (Ceibs campus), IESE Business School (New York campus) and the University of California, Berkeley.

Chiqui is a Certified Master Coach (certified by the Behavioral Coaching Institute), and a certified Appreciative Inquiry Training Facilitator (certified by the Company of Experts, USA).

She is a graduate of the De La Salle University with a double degree in AB Communication Arts and BSC Marketing Management (Accelerated Program). She finished her M.A. English Language and Literature Teaching degree at the Ateneo de Manila University and is currently taking up her MA Anthropology course at the University of the Philippines.

She is the President of the Women’s Business Council Philippines and is currently a member for the Board of Trustees of  De La Salle Alumni Association, Inc.,  St. Paul College Pasig and St. Paul University Philippines. Chiqui was one of the awardees for Outstanding Filipina Entrepreneurs 2011 in the Trailblazer category, the GoNegosyo Enabler Award in 2014 and the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network Award in 2015.

She has written/co-written 5 marketing and entrepreneurship books. She conducts seminars in marketing, business execution, people skills, selling skills, presentation and communication skills, appreciative inquiry, energizing sales teams through positive communication, leadership and breakthrough service.

Veteran of Training, Coaching and Consulting for a quarter of a century and with almost 3 decades of successful sales, buying and negotiation practice, injector of science in the fields of selling, negotiation, sales management, business-to-business marketing as well as management in general via his original framework, processes and tools. He has contributed much science to business as the pioneering developer of the world’s first mathematics of negotiation ,the strategic nego-mapping methodology, reading and projecting verbals and tones over the phone or to include body language when face to face, as well as systematic account development strategies, tools in a business-to-business setting,  sales management framework, simplified problem solving, effective coordination, the 4 modes of management, conflict resolution, problem solving, effective coordination and smoothen communication in organizations and many more. He provides a 360-degree and multi-dimensional set of perspectives from that of the CEO, middle management, down to that of the front-liner and staff member and has had exposure in almost every industry.

ACADEMIC INVOLVEMENT.  As an educator, he has taught marketing and sales subjects in Ateneo de Manila University and St. Scholastica’s College. He has been sought as speaker for numerous conventions and conferences of varied industries as well as the academe.
 
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION.  Rowen has also been director of the boards of the Advertising Board of the Philippines (ADBOARD) and Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA). He also became a trustee for the PANA Foundation. He was also twice Vice President of the Philippine Marketing.

Emilio "Bong" C. Macasaet III

Emilio C. Macasaet III is the Chairman and CEO of FIELD PARTNERS INC., and Partner and Chief Distribution Strategistof Mansmith and Fielders, Inc.He is the author of the best-selling, Distributor Management: Winning Tools in Managing Distributors as Partners, the first ever book on distributor management in the Philippine Market, and the newly launched book, 6 Steps To Effective Key Account Management.

He brings with him very extensive and intensive corporate experiences gained from both local and multinational companies like Gillette, Nestle, L'Oreal, Metrolab and RFM Corporation where he was Vice President of Sales & Distribution division.  He conducts various sales seminars, consulting, and training programs in most parts of Asia-Pacific and Middle East.

He obtained his MBA from Ateneo De Manila University and took his Doctor in Business Administration at De La Salle Graduate School of Business where he was a former MBA professor in Distribution Management. Bong also attended an executive program on Marketing Channels at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, Chicago; and other special programs at Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), Singapore, and Burke Institute, USA. He partly writes a column in Business World newspaper and is currently a professor in marketing management at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business (AGSB).

Malu Dy Buncio

Malu is Mansmith’s Chief Business Development Strategist. For almost twenty years, she has worked for Avon worldwide at all levels to develop the company’s performance and leadership. She served as the Executive Director for Regional and Business Development for Asia Pacific under Avon Products – Asia Pacific Regional Office where she successfully opened Avon Vietnam. She was the General Manager of Avon Cosmetics, Inc. (Philippines.) when the company has received two Chairman’s Awards for exemplary business performance and the Best Employers of the Philippines Award from The Asian Wall Street Journal in partnership with Hewitt Associates and the Far Eastern Monitor.

She successfully managed Avon Indonesia as the President Director, despite the worst political and economic crisis in Indonesia where she received the Chairman’s Pathfinder Award for ‘managing thru Political Crises’ in 1998.

When she was a Business Development Manager at Avon Pacific, Inc (Regional office) and Avon Products Mfg., Inc (Philippines), she established and coached distributorships in Singapore, Brunei, Fiji, Nauru, Papua New Guinea. She also pioneered Playtex Intimate Apparel for Avon.

Malu has been a management and business consultant for some of the biggest and looked upon corporations in the country for quite sometime now. These corporations include The First Commercial Bank, Insular life, Swedish Match Corporation, the media giant ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, and also, Filinvest Properties Inc.

Malu completed basic course in Interior Design at the Philippine School of Interior Design. Her educational background includes a Business Management Program at Asian Institute of Management. She graduated with Bachelor of Arts Degree Majoring in Communication Arts at Assumption College where her thesis was bestowed with the Marie Eugenie Award.

All through her career, she received awards and citations for her outstanding management which include the 1999 Pathfinder Award for Unleashing Beauty from the Chairman of the Board, Avon Products Inc. In the same year, she received the Asia Pacific Agora Award for Marketing Excellence by Philippine Marketing Association. And back in 1995 she was a Chairman’s Leadership Awardee cited by the Chairman of the Board, Avon Products Inc.

Benedicto "Poch" Cid Jr.

Poch is Mansmith and Fielders' Chief Brand Adviser. He brings with him almost 30 years of both rigorous and broad experience in the fields of marketing, research, management and business development.

His most recent post prior to joining Mansmith was with The Nielsen Company (Philippines) Inc., for which he served as Managing Director. His thorough understanding of a wide array of industries stems from his experience in handling senior posts for different companies that include: IDS Marketing Philippines (General Manager), Fonterra Philippines (where Poch worked his way up to the General Manager post), Kellogg Philippines (Commercial Director) and Gillette Asia Pacific (during which time he was stationed in Sydney, Australia, and also rose from the ranks all the way up to the General Manager position).

Other companies for which he held marketing and managerial posts include Richardson-Vicks Philippines and Procter & Gamble.

He is currently serving on the Philippine Advertising Standards Council as a screener of advertising: vetting advertising materials for conformity with ASC standards prior to production and use.

Poch is a graduate of BA Sociology from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.

Donald Patrick L. Lim, Ph D.

Donald is Mansmith’s Chief Digital Marketing Strategist. He is currently the CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network. Previously, he was the Chief Digital Officer of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation and former Managing Director of MRM Worldwide Manila (the digital marketing arm of Mc Cann Ericson Advertising Group). Prior to that, he was the CEO of Yehey Corporation, the Philippine’s no.1 search engine and Internet portal, where he took the helm of a bleeding company and turned it around by reverse engineering the business model and transforming the company into a digital marketing holding company that is now dominating its market niche. He was also President and CEO of Media Contacts Manila, a joint venture company between Yehey Corporation and Europe’s largest interactive conglomerate Havas Digital.
 
Before Yehey, Donald used to be the Vice President of Marketing of the Philippine Daily Inquirer where he started as a division head and manager of classifieds, moving up to become assistant vice president, and eventually vice president, all in a span of three years, after doubling the revenues of the Classifieds department, launching new Inquirer products, and pioneering award winning marketing projects and promotions.

Donald is a product of the management program of the Ateneo de Manila University, and finished his MBA with distinction from Murdoch University. He has finished his dissertation in mass media for his DBA program with the University of Phoenix. Apart from these, Donald also has a diploma in Interior Decorating, a Diploma in Executive Management, and a Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Finally, Donald has finished Pelmanism from the Pelman Institute in Sydney, Australia.

He is one of the youngest to serve as President of the Philippine Marketing Association, the biggest gathering of marketing professionals in the Philippines. He is also the founding president of the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines.
 
He is the first awardee of the Agora Award for Marketing Communications by the Philippine Marketing Association.
 
Most recently, he became one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Philippines for 2015.

Frances Yu

Frances Yu is Mansmith’s Chief Retail Strategist. She has over 20 years of experience in retail marketing. She has been the Vice President & Business Unit Head of Rustan’s Supermarket under Rustan’s Supercenters, Inc. (RSCI) - a member of the Dairy Farm International Group and one of the largest chains of hypermarkets andsupermarkets in the Philippines. RSCI has various retail brands, namely: Shopwise Hypermarkets, Rustan’s Supermarkets, and Wellcome Community Stores.  She is formerly the Vice President and Head of Marketing Operations for RSCI.

Frances Yu has over 10 years of consulting expertise in Corporate Marketing and Marketing Research. She has founded and managed as President the FJY Consulting, Inc. The company provided corporate marketing and management consulting services to leading companies in the Philippines and Asia. She has been the Vice President and General Manager of a marketing research and consulting firm that caters to Top 500 corporations in the retail, banking, telecoms, I,T., manufacturing, services, and public sectors.

She has spoken in various forums and conferences for the Intercontinental Group of Department Stores in Asia, Europe, and South Africa, the National Retailers Conference and Stores Asia Expo, Philippine Direct Marketing, National Research Congress, Philippine Marketing Association, and Association of Marketing Educators (Philippines). She has shared her invaluable insights and frameworks on retail branding, customer relationship management (CRM), customer service, and market intelligence.

Edwin S. Totanes

Edwin is Mansmith’s Chief Marketing Strategist. He started his career with Brand Marketing at Procter & Gamble in 1978; managing brands such as Camay, Tide and P&G’s foray into the personal care business with Crest toothpaste. After 5 years with P&G, he moved on to other multi-national Companies such as Kraft Foods, Inc; as Group Product Manager of the “Non-Cheese Category”(Kraft Mayonnaise and Miracle Whip); then, he managed the Confectionary (Chiclets , Halls) brands at Warner-Lambert and eventually as Marketing Director for Del Monte Philippines. His first stint with a Filipino family Corporation was with the Concepcion Family’s Republic Flour Mills (RFM) where, in 1991, he was General Manager of the Swift Meat Division and was Chairman of The Corporate Marketing Committee; where he was involved in the Strategic Development for other Categories, such as Flour (White King); Carbonated Softdrinks (Cosmos), and Ice-Cream (Selecta).

After 7 years with the Concepcion Family he moved to The Coca-Cola Company as an expatriate in Thailand; as part of the Atlanta Company’s General Managers Talent Initiative (GMTI) Program and had varying responsibilities in the Coke system in Manila and the Asean Region (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam). His last assignment was as General Manager of Philippine Beverage Partners, Inc. (Philbev) managing the non-carbonated business of Coke. He eventually availed of early retirement after 5 years in the Coke system.

He re-joined the corporate world in 2003 with another Filipino Family but with a multi-national business-- The Gokongweis , Universal Robina Corporation where his initial assignment was as General Manager of the Grocery Division; managing the joint venture companies with Japan’s Nissin and Con-Agra of the USA; and the small URC Coffee business then. In 2004, he was tasked to build URC’s Beverage Category. Todate, he has grown the URC beverage business with such brands as Great Taste Coffee and C2 Green Tea; now accounting for close to half of the total URC business, which traditionally had been a Snack Company. He had a brief stint as an expatriate again assuming the position of General Manager of PT URC Indonesia before returning to the Philippines to re-surge a softening Beverage business and to assume the position of Vice-President and Group Head for Marketing, managing the Marketing Category Teams of the total Philippine business. Currently, he is the Vice-President for Strategic Brand & Portfolio Development with the primary responsibility for Regional Asean Branding and assisting the Marketing teams of China and Hong Kong.

Edwin graduated Cum Laude in AB Economics; as a full scholar at the Ateneo de Manila University in 1978 and completed the Advanced Management Program of The Harvard Business School in the Spring of1996. Edwin is also a part-time faculty of the John Gokongwei School of Management of the Ateneo de Manila University; teaching the Leadership & Strategy course, “Doing Business in the Asean Context.”

He was the recipient of the” 50 Most-Talented CMOs of Asia” award during the World Marketing Summit In Malaysia 2013 and also in 2013 The  Agora Awardee for Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Management. In October 2015, as URC’s Group Head for Marketing, URC was awarded the “Marketing Company of the Year for Asia” by the Asia Marketing Federation.
