Josiah Go
Chairman and Chief Innovation Strategist
Josiah L. Go serves as an Independent Director of UnionBank of the Philippines. He is the Chairman and Chief Innovation Strategist of Mansmith and Fielders, Inc., a previous winner of the Innovation Excellence award at the ASEAN Business Awards, and the first and only private company recipient of the Agora Award for Nation Building in Market Leadership. He is also the Founder and Chairman of Waters Philippines, the market leader in the direct selling of premium home water purifiers in the Philippines.
Mr. Go has held leadership positions in prominent industry organizations, having served as the National President of the Philippine Marketing Association in 1991, Chairman of the Direct Selling Association of the Philippines in 2002, and National President of the Association of Marketing Educators from 2004 to 2005.
Regarded as one of the Philippines’ most respected marketing experts, Mr. Go is also one of the nation’s most awarded business educators, with 20 bestselling and record-breaking books on marketing and entrepreneurship. His recognition includes being named an Agora Awardee in 1994, one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines in 2001, and one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) of the World in 2002. He is also one of only two Lifetime Achievement Awardees from the Association of Marketing Educators, receiving this honor in 2007 as the youngest marketing educator to be so recognized. Additionally, Mr. Go received the Brand Leadership Award at the World Brand Congress in India in 2009. His accomplishments have earned him a place in the 10th edition of the International Who’s Who of Intellectuals (England).
Mr. Go completed the Blue Ocean Strategy qualification process at the Blue Ocean Strategy Institute in INSEAD, France. He has taught at both De La Salle and Ateneo Universities and is an Executive Scholar of the Kellogg School of Management (in Marketing and Sales Management) and the MIT Sloan School of Management (in Strategy and Innovation). He has also pursued advanced marketing programs at Harvard, Wharton, and the London Business School. Mr. Go specializes in the fusion of marketing and innovation and teaches advanced marketing subjects. He has delivered over 1,000 marketing seminars, both in the Philippines and internationally, for teams across various industries and contexts.
He holds a degree in Management from De La Salle University and took his Master of Arts in Religious Studies from Maryhill School of Theology.
